A Medieval Battle

As Chris & I are heading off to the US tomorrow we moved wargames night to Monday this week & picked on Medieval as a complete change from the ACW that will obsess us in coming weeks.
Jim & Mark command the force on the near side, Chris & Mike the other side.  Both armies have 3 infantry divisions & 2 cavalry divisions.  The numbers are equal, but near side has more dismounted knights & the far side more mounted knights.
Jim & Mark took the initiative & made a general advance except Mark held his cavalry back on the far flank & supported them with crossbowmen from the adjacent infantry division.
The cavalry fight on this flank turned into a 1 all draw.  On t far flank Mike's knights charged the crossbowmen giving Mark the chance to use his Sergeants to advantage over Mike's second line.  Mark's dismounted knights on the right were left without fire support so charged forward taking out Mike's bowmen.
On the near flank both sides have reorganised their cavalry while content to exchange bow fire with their foot.  Marks' two infantry division have fallen back but his cavalry is getting on top.
Jim's cavalry has beaten Chris' on this flank & Mark's has broken Mike's on the far flank.  Chris & Mike have pulled back onto the hill most of their enemies are too badly mauled to follow them.  But mark's cavalry still had some pips left & charged up the hill against Mike's flank.
Mark's horse has beaten the infantry on the hill to win the battle.  Chris & Mike have lost 3 of 5 divisions, Jim & Mark have lost none.  It was still close though as none of the winner's divisions are in good shape.  If the last cavalry charge hadn't worked it would have been a draw as no one had enough troops capable of offensive action left to force a result.
