Bolt Action in the Desert with room to move

Jim's Afrika Korps & Dale's Italians v. Mike's 8th Army.
Approx 1,550 pts each on 10'x6' table - reinforced platoons with extra armour.
A small Italian force occupies an oasis & village in the centre of the table.  A British mechanised column is coming on at one end of the table & a German Mechanised column is coming on the other end.  The winner will be the side holding the village after 7 or 8 turns.
Apart from the Italians all forces are mechanised.
The table - pic taken from the British end.  (The rest of the pics are from the German end).
After two turns both sides have advanced as fast as they could.
While the tanks exchange ineffective long range shots, the British infantry have already taken the walled field from the Italians.
One German infantry squad is pinned down on the ridge by the 25pdr, the others are moving up to the village on the right.  The Brits have taken the house on the right, but the Italians still hold the centre house, fortunate that the British infantry on the ridge has been pinned down by Panzer MG fire & bad order test dice.
On the right the Pak 38 helped the 2 MkIII's take out the Sherman & Honey.  On the left one MkIII has been knocked out, but it did it's job distracting the Shermans from the main game in the village where the German infantry are now counterattacking.
By turn 7 the Afrika Korps have retaken the both ends of the village while the Italians have held onto its centre.  The Brits concede.

Mechanised forces on a big open table are a nice change from the usual cramped BA battlefield & it's highly recommended.

Fun looking game obviously the Oasis is worth fighting for the only clean water in a 100km radius lol.
