Napoleonic 28mm: French v. Austrians

Chris brought his cousins SteveD & Dale plus their mate from Canberra for a game.
French: Dale (left flank) + John  (right flank).
Austrians: Chris (right flank) + SteveD (left flank).

Both sides concentrated their forces on their left.
Both advanced their left, but the French's better command got them moving faster.
On the near flank the French  bravely charged their cavalry accross the creek without success for themselves, but they made the Austrian infantry vulnerable to the French columns attacking their flank.
On the far flank the Austrians are still moving up.

On the near flank the Austrians have been driven back from the creek line.
Action on the far flank is still mainly long range sniping with artillery & muskets.

On the near flank the Austrians have been broken.  On the far flank the Austrian attack has got nowhere.  The ustrians concede with plenty of cavalry left to cover their retreat.  The French left, though victorious has high casualties & is pleaed to see them go.
